heart of green

Bali > Bracelet > Bedroom. Last Saturday I had the biggest urge (which, as you’ll see, is how most of my decorative touches come to life) to run to home depot and buy the most exotic, chic and bold shade of green to paint a statement wall in my tiny little apartment—“amazonian rainforest meets kate spade green,” to be exact.  Blame the winter, blame recently watching Julia find balance and harmony in the most amazing places in “Eat, Pray, Love”—whatever the case, I just can’t get enough of this luxe color! Like the tranquility of turquoise water and the steady stream of a waterfall, this rich green puts me back in my place and silences all of the extraneous noises around me—putting to rest the fiery fuses that sleeplessly roam around my brain.  Staring at this exquisite color makes me want to sell my stuff, pack my bags and find a villa in Bali surrounded by tall stalks of bamboo—and stare at luscious leaves instead of skyscrapers.  But alas, I’ll take this primal color anywhere I can—on my wrist with this perfect cuff, or in my freshly painted living room.  And how a m a z i n g  is this boudoir?—Can’t ya just feel the vivacity?
